In 2021, Mahindra had released the new Thar, an iconic nameplate in India that is inspired by the long line up of previous generation Thar vehicles and the origin of it all itself, Jeeps. Though they had every right to be inspired by their history, I wanted to explore what the Thar could look like if it could have it's very own design language. 

 

Inspired by unforgiving deserts, one of which the Thar was named after, they are characterized by beautiful fluidic sand dunes with an undying temperament. I wanted to bring the same to the Thar, with a rugged character using soft, fluidic surfaces.
